They were introduced to each other on New Years of 2011 after they had a few "wobbly pops" as Katie describes. Soon after, they shared their first kiss which doubled as their New Years kiss! Talk about an epic first kiss! When I met up with Katie + Chris to head over to Ward's Island for their engagement session, we were all a little nervous, but as soon as we got to talking, we couldn't stop! We walked around the island, stopping wherever I got inspired to photograph their love + laughter, including the area by the beach with mini birch trees that looked like we stepped into a mini Colorado!

The combination of music playing from my speaker with the flask that they whipped out near the end of the session helped deepen the energy of the session and I LOVED it (those two things should definitely be a part of every session).
