Lauren and Jordan's family farm wedding in Ontario was literally what dreams are made of. The whole day was full of connecting, doing what felt most true to them and having a setting that honestly couldn't have been more grounding. It was such a close-knit and sentimental wedding.

The wedding took place in Minesing, Ontario and I started the day off by documenting Jordan and his friends and family hanging out at his parents' house. It was great to see everyone just being themselves opening gifts, cracking some beers, and giving random hugs to each other. You could tell how excited about the day everyone was. They even did some axe throwing and beer pong which was super fun.

After that, I went over to see Lauren. She was getting ready at her parents' property where she grew up surrounded by hundreds of animals. The farm had like 100 chickens, 2 horses, 3 donkeys, 3 pigs, and 5 dogs. Seeing that animals played such a huge part of her growing up, it wasn't surprising at all that even now, on her wedding day, animals would also be an inseparable part of it. After she got her hair ready, she even spent some time with the animals, running around barefoot, before spending time with her girls. I loved how much she embraced “I do a thing called what I want” on her wedding day, grounding herself with the Earth and connecting with her favourite people.

Nothing can beat those small in-between moments on a wedding day, and it was great to be able to document how emotional Lauren got when she peeked through the window to see Jordan standing there and waiting for her before their first touch. And that's another thing - instead of a first look, they both decided to do a first touch. They wanted to be able to feel and hear one another saying, “I'm so excited to marry you!” but leave seeing each other for when Lauren would be walking down the aisle toward Jordan during the ceremony.

They got married in the woods, which couldn't have been more perfect for the whole farm wedding vibe. Honestly, it was so friggin' special! They had their 5 dogs running and roaming around them freely, and the whole ceremony felt so true to who they are.
