Winter Forest Engagement Session
I feel so honored when couples decide to schedule in a winter forest engagement session with me even though I'm booked for their wedding date! That's exactly what Nicole + Owen did, and OMG I'm so happy they did!
First off, we scored hard on weather. It was like 5 degrees that day and the sun was shining through the trees at times! Second, as soon as we started the session, it was easy. They were so laid back + natural with one another. I find that's when I get most inspired. When the couple is easy going. I even played them some of their favorite songs during the session which added a whole new dimension to it + created some romantic moods!
Nicole + Owen mentioned to me that they love to take their dog Opie for walks there a couple times a week, and it's also the place where Owen proposed with a wooden sign he carved out himself that was hanging on a tree! Her parent's property was filled with beautiful forest + even had a little stream! Opie was having a blast running around off leash while their kitty followed us everywhere we went. It made for a lot of laughs + some comical photos.
Below is one of their favorite songs that I played during their session. Press play while you scroll through the images.

Opie is just a 1 year old pup so he was running around like crazy. It was hard to get him still for a family portrait, but I think these are better anyway :)Seriously! Look how happy this cutie is!Teeter totter! Woot! This is where Owen proposed to Nicole last year! The sign that he carved himself says "Will you marry me" of course :)
