07: Why Getting Tagged by Clients on Social Media Doesn't Really Matter
It’s easy to get caught up in thinking that social media is everything. Even though it can be a great tool for marketing your business, human experience is still number one.
In this episode, I focus on something that I see a lot of photographers complain about - clients not tagging them on social media. While I can understand and empathize with how they feel, I’m here to challenge this negative way of thinking. Without any judgment, I offer my take on why social media tags isn’t the key thing to be focusing on if you want your business to grow.
I share how I switched from expecting social media tags to appreciating my clients enjoying and being happy about the photos in their own way. I also explain why the experience you create for your clients means so much more for your business than social media tags.
[01:45] You are what you surround yourself with. Changing our unconscious mindset to being conscious about our attitude and making sure it’s positive rather than negative.
[03:33] It's not about the tag. Why our clients deserve the right to do things on their own terms and not feel pressured to tag.
[05:15] It's not the tag that will get you the booking. Why creating the best experience possible for your client is more important and what impact it creates.
[07:08] How I approach tagging with my clients without making them feel pressured. A sneak peek into what I actually write to my clients when sending out the photos.
[08:21] Key takeaways to keep in mind when thinking about clients tagging or not tagging us. How to make sure you create evangelists for your business.
