Michelle and Dan got married on November 16, 2019, at The Great Hall in Toronto. And little did I know when I was shooting this wedding was that this is the last wedding I would shoot before COVID hit. It's pretty crazy to look back on that and realize that this was the last one before so many things changed in the world.

But on a happier note, I love how the day started with the guys just chilling hanging out in their comfy clothes, and then as soon as they started getting dressed, they got all goofy and wanted to take some funny shots of them in the space they were getting ready in. When I went over to where the girls were hanging out, they were just having so much fun dancing, singing, taking photos of themselves together in the mirror for memories, popping champagne, it was a blast!

Next, it was off to the Great Hall for Michelle and Dan to see each other for the first time. They had their first look by a bay window overlooking Queen Street in Toronto (which was meaningful to them since they spend so much time walking Queen St. together!).

The ceremony was indoors under a stunning setup of twinkly lights. As soon as they got married, they were able to go off and party because we got all their family photos, wedding party photos, and portraits of the two of them done before the ceremony. I always love leaving the decision of having a first look or not up to the couple since I want them to decide which experience they prefer!

So as soon as the reception started, it was high energy and it stayed that way throughout the whole night! Michelle + Dan had their entrance to the song “Higher Love by Kygo” and it’s imprinted in my memory forever! It was EPIC (and I may just steal it for our wedding in the future hehe). To add to it all, when everyone was dancing their asses off having the best time, Michelle and Dan got hoisted up into the air by all their friends to the song “Shout” by The Isley Brothers! It was so epic to see them feeling on top of the world!
